Danya Riches (b. San Francisco) joined the Claraty Arts Project in 2011. Over the past two and a half years, Ms. Riches has been writing poetry. In late 2015, her poem “Grandma” was published in Pochino Press’s zine, “Our Stories Will Never Die: Ancestors, Place, and Memory.” Within Ms. Riches work, we read about the anecdotes of her daily life, her emotions, dreams, and memories of her family. When asked about her artistic mission, Ms. Riches says, “I hope to let people know how I feel.”
