AJ Redmond is a prolific artist who enjoys creating scenes that pay homage to the things and places he loves, such as music, cities, and his hometown. Redmond’s art practice has a mystifying effect, often leaving his teachers, peers, and viewers in awe. When asked how he is able to replicate images near-perfectly without any gridding or mapping out on the canvas, he said “I figure it out.” Since joining the Claraty Arts Project in 2011, Mr. Redmond’s work has been featured in multiple exhibitions and bay area galleries. His precision in stippling, hatching, and brush strokes emphasize features not seen by most people.
