The upcoming show ____ am I? features new works by the Claraty Arts Project studio artists that explore concepts of identity, disability, and questions of who, what, where, when, and why am I?
The Claraty Arts Project is a studio and gallery with 19 studio artists that aims to empower adults with developmental disabilities and encourages self expression through arts education, training, expression, and production. Its purpose is to advance a new, collective identity for individuals with disabilities that transforms those society deems as perpetual learners into teachers and leaders, and those often labeled passive and permanent consumers into dynamic, creative contributors to a more equal and equitable world.
Come by the studio on Friday, February 1st between 5 and 9 PM to see original works by the studio artists. New prints for sale. Snacks and drinks will be served.
Everyone is making great artwork, and visitors are welcome! If you visit, you can let us know, also, please be prepared to wear a mask in the studio, to help keep the studio safe! Thank you!
