Diana Mallett (b. 1981)
Diana Mallett (b. 1981) has been a member of the Claraty Arts Project since 2010. “I wanted to paint the first time I saw art.” The process of painting and her progress inspires her. In effect, Ms. Mallett strives to create art that inspires others. Her small scale abstract pieces reveal her energetic, playful spirit. Her large scale paintings invite discovery of her mark. Circles, dots and spontaneous brush strokes unify through an overarching pixelated process that transforms into landscapes and portraits.
In the past few years (2018-2022), Mallett has taken an interest in abstract art as well as representational work. After a year or so of experimenting with assistive tools and adaptive techniques, we couldn’t be more excited for how Mallett has evolved her art practice. Her dedication and perseverance will surely lead to some fantastic pieces!
